bulletbridging the digital divide;
bulletencouraging on-line learning and literacy;
bulletfostering the development of community based infrastructure;
bulletpromoting Canadian e-commerce; and,
bulletcontributing to the foundation for electronic access to government services.

The Community Access Program (CAP) is a Government of Canada initiative, administered by Industry Canada, which aims to provide Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively.

The Sioux Lookout CAP site is located in the Sioux Lookout Public Library and has been in operation since 1996. The objective of the Sioux Lookout CAP site is to provide affordable internet access for the public.
